The story of 686 Precision LLC has its roots in the founder’s experiences on the fast attack submarine USS L. Mendel Rivers (SSN-686) during the heyday of the Cold War in the 1980’s. Each experience and mission accomplished in those years taught that young sailor the importance of attention to detail, collaboration, teamwork, and reliance on the submarine qualified men around him, not only for completing the mission, but for the safety of the ship and its crew in the unforgiving undersea world. Those lessons were learned because our lives depended on it.

Those same lessons have remained the basic principals upon which we conduct business today.
